Metamorphosis - Dick Hewitson & Maisie Parker (7-18 November 2015)

A new exhibition will be launching at Woodhayes Gallery on Saturday 7th November featuring the work of artists Dick Hewitson and Maisie Parker.

Dick Hewitson is a Dorset painter whose interpretations of landscapes, range from contemporary figurative to abstract and are mainly painted in oils. Maisie Parker is an artist, and print-maker, who works in mixed print media, although drawing is at the heart of her work.

The Private View will take place on Saturday 7th November 6-8pm.

About us

Woodhayes farm is located in a quiet setting with uninterrupted views of the surrounding Blackdown Hills AONB, yet within easy reach of the main A30 artery through the South West and Honiton, our nearest town.

The farm has been in the Page-Turner family’s care since 1960, when Noel and Christy started dairy farming (later beef and sheep).

Their son, Greg, took on the diversification of the farm in the nineties, converting the redundant Grade II listed farm buildings into contemporary offices, self-catering accommodation and recently managing the conversion of a Dutch Barn into a spectacular art gallery.

Noel and Christy run bespoke Bed & Breakfast accommodation in the farmhouse. The farm consists of 150 acres of ancient woodland and parkland, which is still being farmed today. We are located in the Blackdown Hills, an “Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty” and neighbours onto Dumpdon Hill and National Trust Iron Age Hill Fort and ‘The Rough’ a 10 acre nature reserve owned and run by the Devon Wildlife Trust.

Directions : Take the Dunkeswell road out of Honiton and off the A30 trunk road, cross Langford Bridge over the River Otter. After 150 yards turn right, Woodhayes Farm is the first drive on left.

“Sat Nav” : Please be aware that our post code will take you to “Otter View Farm” which is the next working farm on the right after Woodhayes. We have large signage at our entrance.
